Wingspan Plastics has been in operation for the past 20 years, they have contributed to the livelihoods of their employees as. By employing a labour force of 100 employees, of which are 40 female employees responsible for sorting material on a rotational shift basis, before the washing cycle of the material and shredding.
500 tons of plastic produced monthly is indicative of their productivity of their operations. Most of their recycling material consists of packaging material, which is LD, LLDPE wrapping such as plastic bottles and agricultural plastics.
They source their materials from diverse channels, ranging from Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) to street collectors. This multifaceted approach not only ensures a steady supply but also underscores their commitment to engaging with various stakeholders in the recycling ecosystem. Their vision is to be a catalyst for positive change, fostering a circular economy where waste is transformed into valuable resources.
