Mpilenhle Recycling is a recycling collection business, run by two brothers Gcinumzi Makhoba the CEO and his brother Sandile Makhoba the Co-Founder. This recycling collection business was started in 2009. They recycle three primary household materials, such as plastics, board and tin.

They have employed over 60 staff members, allowing job creation, and contributing to the livelihoods of the community members in and around New Castle in Madadeni. In 2023, they received a Packa-Ching trailer, and this has had a positive impact in their recycling business, through this support from Polyco, Sandile the Co-Founder, “says they are now able to get closer to the customer, allowing business operations to be optimised. Polyco has further assisted Mpilenhle in their cleanups, soccer tournaments, marketing, educational materials for the Mpilenhle Foundation. In 2022 they were awarded with Most Plastic Collected out of the 2022 Packa-Ching mobile enterprises, the latter is indicative of Mpilenhle’s passion for keeping the environment green and clean.

Mpilenhle’s Co-Founder Sandile, says the future has many possibilities for the business, one being raw material producers, through recycling.
