A2 Recycling is a small BBEEE collector that works off the Luipaardsvlei landfill in Krugersdorp, from where plastics are collected and transported back to the company’s premises for sorting and baling. Mark Novusa successfully applied for a grant from POLYCO, which he used to purchase a baler, a pallet jack to assist with the loading of the trucks, as well as to have their large trailer caged in order to accommodate greater volumes of plastic.

“As a small, start-up company, I needed a partner who would understand my business, the industry and the challenges that I have to overcome on a daily basis. POLYCO’s investment in my business helped me more than I can say. There is a huge market for plastics recycling in South Africa, but you need to do it the right way and work with company’s who are able to be patient with you and help guide you along the way,” said Mark Novusa of A2 Recycling.
