Based in Nancefield, Gauteng, Aspigon was an established BBEEE collector who had an abundance of post-consumer polyolefin packaging material, but lacked the capacity to bale and transport the material to the recyclers. POLYCO granted owner Bongani Mashinini a grant in 2015 in order to purchase a much-needed baler, granulator and a pallet jack with which large bales could be loaded onto trucks for delivery. As a result, the business has projected a volume growth of 45 tonnes per month to be diverted from landfill.
